Professionally, Steve is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and works for a large firm of property auctioneers in the Midlands region, as a surveyor and property valuer.

When not at work, Steve is a photo-journalist for AeroResource - a group which incorporates both FighterControl.co.uk and CivilianAviation.co.uk.  In 2009, Steve wrote articles on RAF Valley, a report on Duxford's September Airshow, and two articles detailing the history of RAF Broadwell in Oxfordshire and RAF Perdiswell in Worcestershire - all for FighterControl.co.uk.

For 2010, articles and being planned for Duxford's Flying Legends and a base visit to RAF Brize Norton in February.

He resides in South West Birmingham with his girlfriend and two cats, Vienna and Sooty.
